Customised Bearded Axe, also great for Bushcraft and Wild Camping.
Do you struggle to find that perfect gift for that hard to buy loved one? Do you want a gift that nobody else in the whole world has?
I can help with that! I will work closely with you to add any design you want. Every piece of carving on the bearded axe is added just for you. Every element is created around your wishes, hand drawn and then hand carved. No computer printed designs, no machine carving and No Lasers just good old fashioned craftsmanship.
I often carve dragons, Viking themes, wolves, nature, hobbies and film themes however I will do anything you like. If I can draw it, I can carve it. My latest carving is for a leaving present and includes a Santa Clause (his nickname is Santa 😉), this Kids Names and a Black Country Flag!

Bearded Axe History :
The Bearded axe, or Skeggox (which comes from the Old Norse work "Skegg" which means Beard, and "Ox" which means Axe). Their main use was from around the 6th Century and is usually related with the Viking Age. This particular axe pays homage to that ancestry and has been adapted for use around the campfire.
Aftercare instructions:
• Carbon steel will rust so please use oil after use. I recommend Mineral Oil as it can be used on the handle and leather sheath too, veg oil can also be used.
• If stored in leather sheath, oil and then wrap in plastic, clingfilm works great. This is to prevent rusting..
